"I am Lukas Irmler, 32 years old and a professional slackliner & speaker.
Slacklining has awakened in me a passion for the mountains. Running between mountain peaks and across whole valleys gives me an indescribable feeling of freedom and always presents me with new challenges!
Since then I have also been climbing, mountaineering, ski touring and much more in the mountains of this world. Of course, it is especially brilliant to combine several of my passions and the combination of climbing, caving, high altitude mountaineering or ski touring with slacklining often leads me to the best places for my adventures.
I currently hold 5 Guinness World Records and I am especially proud of the absolute length world record I set in summer 2019. I crossed a 2000m long Highline in Canada without a fall. Remarkable is also the record for the longest Highline with blindfold, which I got by crossing a 1000m long Highline in Russia. The most successful project of all times for me is certainly the 100m long highline over the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. With this story I made headlines worldwide in 2014 and the incredible pictures still inspire thousands of people in my lectures today. In the past years I have had a significant influence on freestyle slacklining and have been able to invent numerous tricks and win contests. The last big challenge at the moment is to master the handstand on the slackline! To be able to show all these tricks at shows all over the world is a special pleasure for me and gives me the opportunity to share my sport, my passion, with others! "
