deuter synthetic sleeping bags you can rely on

We’ve all been there – it’s been raining for three days solid and you’re camping at a festival or away with friends on ‘holiday’. But the rain won’t get you down if you have a sleeping bag that keeps you warm and dry. One that you look forward to curling up in after a long rainy day. Synthetic sleeping bags are moisture resistant and robust, which makes them perfect for use in damp changeable weather conditions. Even in summer, when it’s drier, a synthetic sleeping bag makes a good camping bed no matter where you go. The synthetic fibers used in place of down for the insulation fill are put through a thermal process to make it into fibrefill insulation. These synthetic fibers are smooth on the outside and hollow on the inside, giving it good loft at the same time as keeping it lightweight.

Sustainable do-it-all buddy: deuter Orbit synthetic sleeping bags

✔ The sleeping bags from the Orbit series made from 50 % recycled materials

The Orbit series offers campers a sustainable choice of sleeping bags with synthetic fill. The shell fabric on the Orbit bags is made from 100 % recycled materials, with 50 % of the yarn also made from recycled raw materials. The shell is seamless for added protection from moisture and improved insulation performance. Using our 360° insulation system ensures the high-loft hollow fiber fill is evenly distributed throughout the bag. The lining is made from a cotton blend for a comfortable next-to-skin feel and better durability than cotton alone.

The Orbit is a durable, more sustainable synthetic sleeping bag that covers a range of temperatures: The Orbit +5° as a lightweight summer sleeping bag, the Orbit 0° for the transitional seasons, and the Orbit -5° for colder temperatures. All the Orbit models are also available in an SL fit for shorter people with a narrower build, who tend to feel the cold more; and also in an EL fit to taller people. The Orbit series is a great choice for traveling in more temperate climates.

Ultralight synthetic sleeping bag: the deuter Dreamlite for summer

✔ Lightweight, compact sleeping bag for warmer temperatures

If you’re on foot or traveling by bike, or if you need to transport your sleeping bag in your hand luggage, the deuter Dreamlite synthetic bag is a good option. It packs down small and, weighing just over 600 grams, saves on weight. For nighttime temperatures above 13 °C and a lightweight set-up, the Dreamlite is the one to choose. Also available in an EL (Extra Long) version for taller people (up to 2m or 6’6”) for improved sleeping comfort.

EXOSPHERE synthetic sleeping bags with the optimum warmth-to-weight ratio

✔ Lightweight backpacking sleeping bag for cold temperatures

Our high-end sleeping bag. The synthetic sleeping bags from the Exosphere series offer high thermal performance at a low weight thanks to their special design and sophisticated construction. This impressive warmth-to-weight ratio is especially important for backpacking or thru-hiking. Special stretchy baffle seams allow this sleeping bag to expand up to 25 % across the width, for ample movement while also keeping it snug against the body. This means there is no dead air space to heat up, so you’ll immediately feel warm inside the bag. The fill is positioned using a shingle-style layering system. This prevents any cold bridges from forming and means the synthetic fill stays in place, no matter how many nights you sleep in it, or how many times you unpack and repack it. The Exosphere synthetic sleeping bags come in 0°, -6° and -10° models. And each temperature category is also available in an SL or EL version.

Synthetic filled 4 season sleeping bag? absolutely!

Are you looking for a sleeping bag for winter but want to avoid animal-based materials? Then the Orbit -5°, the Orbit SQ -5° and for really cold nights, the Exosphere -10° are highly dependable 4 season synthetic sleeping bags for winter use and temperatures below freezing. With clever construction and even distribution of innovative high-loft hollowfiber fill, these winter-grade synthetic bags will keep you cozy and warm. Make sure you check the expected nighttime temperatures at your destination and compare them with the Limit temperature rating of your sleeping bag. If you go to bed wearing suitably warm clothing, then you’re sure to have a comfortable night’s sleep in your warm synthetic sleeping bag.

Multi-use rectangular sleeping bags, double sleeping bags & Zip together sleeping bags

Versatile sleeping bags for all occasions. The synthetic Orbit SQ +6° and Orbit SQ -5° are rectangular sleeping bags. When unzipped, they open out into a cozy quilt or blanket. And the zipper can also be used to couple them with another Orbit bag to create a double sleeping bag or an extra-large quilt.

If you like snuggling up in a double bag, other deuter synthetic sleeping bags also benefit from this option. Zip-together sleeping bags are converted into a double sleeping bag in no time at all. And they are great for sleeping under the stars too. An extendable (or compressible) stuff sack means they can also be packed away as a double bag. Which means there’s no need to separate them each time you pack them away.

Synthetic sleeping bags for children

Kids grow up fast. And so, to keep up with them, we’ve come up with synthetic sleeping bags for kids that grow with your child. These synthetic bags for kids will keep your outdoor offspring cozy while camping or sleeping in backcountry or mountain huts. A zipper extension in the foot section adds an extra 30 cm to the length of these kids’ bags. Easy-care, water-repellent shell fabric and robust, hard-wearing synthetic fill makes these sleeping bags child friendly and keeps them warm and dry.

Little Star
The deuter Little Star is our smallest children’s sleeping bag and has synthetic fill. It’s designed for toddlers between 95 and 130 cm tall and comes in a cozy mummy shape. The little ears on the hood will make them want to get cozy inside their bag and curl up like a little marmot, no matter how much they might want to fight off sleep. And if tiredness sets in sooner than planned, and you need to transfer them out of their bag and into bed, the long zippers on both sides open it out wide for a better chance of not waking them.

Starlight series
The Starlight series is for children who are between 130 and 170 cm tall. The Pro model has a double-layer construction for extra insulation, but still manages to be light. And a rectangular version, the Starlight SQ, opens out into a quilt if your child is still a bit skeptical about sleeping bags.
