every degree counts

every degree counts

By the end of the century, most glaciers in the Alps will have completely disappeared - even when viewed optimistically. What does that mean for us?

In our documentary 'Every Degree Counts,' our three snow researchers, Dr. Neige Calonne, Dr. Benjamin Reuter, a mountain guide and expert in snow and avalanches at Météo-France, and Marion Réveillet provide insights into the findings of their research

OUR GLACIER AND SNOW EXPERTS

dr. neige calonne

Neige works at Météo France and researches snow on a macroscale. This includes the study and modeling of snow - its microstructure and the physical processes taking place there, especially heat transfer, material transport, and crystal growth

dr. Ben Reuter

Ben is a climate and snow researcher who also works as a mountain guide and trainer for mountain guides. He focuses on studying the evolution of winters and specializes in avalanche conditions. Additionally, he serves as the Deputy Director of the Avalanche Warning Service at Météo France.

Marion REVEILLET

Marion also works at Météo France and specializes in 'Surface Mass Balance' and 'Surface Energy Balance,' conducting research on glaciers in France and the Andes.
